This article will show you all the ways to cancel a card-present transaction after it has already been initiated.
Four Ways to Cancel A Transaction
Pressing either of these 3 buttons will cancel a transaction
- Selecting Cancel on the touch screen
- Pressing the Cancel button on the PIN pad
- Selecting ‘No’ on the touch screen when asked to confirm the amount
- Or, you can select Cancel in PaymentMate.
Using the Back Button
When using your browser’s ‘Back’ button during a transaction, it will close the session with PaymentMate and the device. The device will be back in sync with your POS (i.e. CivicRec). However, since CP Pay didn’t receive a result back from Tempus, the transaction will show no result and will eventually be marked abandoned.
