In order to process refunds and voids through Cybersource, you must provide a SOAP key to CivicPlus. These types of transactions flow through Cybersource’s SOAP API.
Tip #1: Make sure you copy the SOAP PIN and not the Key ID
When setting up your SOAP PIN, follow the steps in this guide carefully. It is very easy to confuse the key ID with the key itself.
When grabbing your SOAP PIN, you must copy the whole thing from this screen. You will only be shown the PIN once, be sure to copy or download it before leaving or you will have to make it again.
When you return to the Key management screen, you will see a list of keys you have made. These are key IDs and NOT SOAP PINs. Do NOT copy this ID, it does not work for the integration.
Tip #2 – Make sure the SOAP Key has not expired
Every CyberSource key has an expiration date. Make sure your key is still valid by checking this date. This can be seen on the Key Management screen or by clicking into the key. If the key has expired, you will need to make a new key.
Tip #3 – Be sure the SOAP Key is set to “Transaction Processing”.
When creating your SOAP key, you must create it for transaction processing. Click into the key to see what type it is. If it does not say “Transaction Processing: SOAP” you will need to make a new key. Follow the steps in this guide to make a new key.
