A transaction will be flagged as a duplicate if two transactions share the same amount and card number in a 30-second window. The second transaction will be denied.
If the transaction is in-person, the chip-reader and the online prompt with both show a “Duplicate Transaction” message.
If the transaction is online, a message will show to the user that states the transaction is a duplicate, similar to the example above.
To confirm if a transaction is a duplicate, review the CP Pay activity log.
